Brazilian Anti-dumping: Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate (June 2020)

On June 15, 2020, the Governing Executive Committee of the Foreign Trade Council of the Brazilian Ministry of Economy (GECEX) issued Resolution No. 50 of 2020 on sodium acid pyrophosphate originating in Canada, China and the United States [Portuguese: pirofosfato ácido de sódio( SAPP)] made the first final anti-dumping sunset review and continued to impose anti-dumping duties on the products involved in the case from Canada, China and the United States for a period of 5 years (see the attachment for detailed tax amounts: Tax Schedule for Involved Manufacturers/Exporters). The Mercosur tax number of the product involved is 2835.39.20.


On November 18, 2013, Brazil launched an anti-dumping investigation into sodium acid pyrophosphate originating in Canada, China and the United States. On August 15, 2014, Brazil made an affirmative final ruling on the case. On August 15, 2019, the Brazilian Ministry of Economy issued Announcement No. 48 of 2019. In response to an application submitted by the Brazilian company ICL Brasil Ltda., it initiated the first anti-dumping sunset on sodium acid pyrophosphate originating in Canada, China and the United States. Review and file an investigation.
